The Toyohashi annual Fire Festival

The Kuwana Stone Bringing Festival (Kuwana Ishidori) is a centuries old religious event, where local towns would bring white stones to symbolise cooked-rice balls to a local temple. Held in early August annually.

The Nagoya Dance Festival competition, known locally as Domatsuri is an annual summer event held at the end of August. Domatsuri was first organised by university students in 1999, and later taken over by the city. It now attracts over 200 teams with over 20,000 participants, with an audience of nearly 2 million viewers.

The Tado Horse Festival is an annual religious event held just prior to rice planting in the area. It is held to ensure a good rice harvest later in the year.
